Home Start Guildford is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. What data do we collect?
We collect some personal information in order to deliver our services and respond to queries and requests for information, service and support, running training and events.
To do so we may collect the following information:

- Individual needs including health, other services accessed such as social services
- other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers
What we do with the data we process?
We require this information in order to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:
- provide the support required by families
- match families with a relevant volunteer
- internal record keeping
- we may use the information to improve our products and services
- we use anonymised data to report to our funders and apply for new funding
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your explicit permission or are required by law to do so. We will not sell anyone’s personal data for commercial purposes. The only services we might help to promote in this way are also non-profit community or voluntary services.
Your rights in relation to your personal data

Data Security and Store
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.
All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers based in the UK or in secure paper files.
Persons processing data on our behalf do so in accordance with this policy and on the basis that we are satisfied that they can and will adhere to our high standards for data protection and security.
The transmission of information over the internet is inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.
