200 people enjoyed a splash of Spanish sunshine on the afternoon of 7th September as Rogue Opera brought an excellent production of Carmen to the Surrey Hills. The venue was the garden of a Home-Start Guildford Patron (Diana Jones) whose lawns sloped gently down to the stage, framed by the fields and woods behind. To enhance the Spanish ambience, paella and sangria were served during the long interval which helped sustain the audience during the second half. We are very grateful to Diana for hosting this unique event and to everyone who came and contributed much needed funds.
